Terms of Service
These terms are between you and [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME], a [OPERATOR ENTITY TYPE] at [OPERATOR ADDRESS] ("PrimeChapter", "we", "us"). By signing in and ticking the consent box you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not sign in.
1. What PrimeChapter is
PrimeChapter is a place to discover web apps built with AI tools, with founder interviews, reviews, comments and questions. During the beta it lists web apps only. It is free. Nothing on it is paid for, sponsored or bought, and rankings are earned from member activity, not purchased.
2. Who can use it
- You must be 18 or older. At first sign-in you confirm this and accept these terms and the Privacy Policy; we store the time you did so.
- You sign in with Google, GitHub, or your email and a password. Keep your password secret; we never ask for it by email. For Google or GitHub, you must keep control of that account; we do not receive your Google or GitHub password.
- If you use email and a password, you must confirm your email address before you can use the account. We send you account emails (confirmation, password reset, email change, security notices); they are not marketing. Unconfirmed accounts are deleted after a short time. We may refuse sign-up from temporary (disposable) email addresses.
- Browsing public pages needs no account.
3. Your account and Standing
- One person, one account. Do not create accounts to manipulate ratings, votes or Standing.
- You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access.
- Standing is a score earned through helpful, honest participation. It cannot be bought, gifted or traded, and we may adjust or remove Standing that was earned through abuse.
- You can see your Standing and why it changed. Standing does not change the rating of an app.
4. What you post
You may post reviews, replies, comments, questions, reports, app listings and (for founders) interview answers.
- You own what you write. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce and distribute it on and in connection with PrimeChapter (including search results, share cards and previews), for as long as it is on the service and for the retention described in the Privacy Policy.
- You promise that what you post is yours to post, is truthful to your own experience, and follows the Review and Content Policy.
- Reviews and comments keep an edit history. Prior versions are retained, and may be seen by moderators. Comments can be edited for 24 hours; deleting shows "[deleted by author]" and the text is soft-deleted (kept internally), not instantly erased. See the Privacy Policy for how erasure works.
- Makers can reply to reviews but cannot edit or delete other people's reviews or comments.
- Labels such as "Declared by maker" and "Checked by us" mean exactly that. A "Declared by maker" fact has not been verified by us.
5. Things you must not do
Spam, fake or paid reviews, review swaps, brigading, harassment, hate, doxxing, illegal content, malware, scraping at a rate that harms the service, probing security without permission, impersonation, or evading a moderation decision. Details are in the Review and Content Policy.
6. Apps listed on PrimeChapter
Apps are made by third parties. We do not own, operate or warrant them. Opening an app takes you to the maker's site, under their terms. Use of any app is at your own risk. Apps may be hidden or removed if they are dead, unsafe, misleading or violate our policies.
7. Moderation, reports and appeals
Anyone signed in can report content. Content can be hidden automatically after enough reports and is then reviewed by a person. We may hide, edit labels on, or remove content and restrict accounts. Makers can appeal decisions about their apps. See the Review and Content Policy.
8. Notifications
Notifications are shown in the app only. Apart from the account emails described in section 2, we do not send email. If that changes (for example a digest) we will update these terms and ask for your opt-in first.
9. Demo and sample content
Some apps, reviews, people and interviews shown during the beta may be demo data and are labelled as such, for example with the label "Sample app". Demo content is not a real endorsement or real member activity.
10. Deleting your account
You can delete your account in Settings. There is a 14-day grace period in which you cannot post, review or vote, your content stays visible unless you chose to remove it, and you can undo by signing in. If you use email and a password, you can regain access through the confirmation email sent to your address. After that your data is erased or anonymised as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Beta, availability and changes
This is a beta. Features may change or stop and data may occasionally be lost despite our care. We may suspend or end the service or your access, for example for breaking these terms. We will describe material changes to these terms on this page and, for significant changes, ask you to accept again.
12. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent the law allows: the service is provided "as is"; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for content posted by members or makers, or for third-party apps; and our total liability to you is limited to [LIABILITY CAP]. [COUNSEL CHECK C7] Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights.
13. Intellectual property complaints and takedown
If you believe content infringes your rights or is unlawful, follow the takedown process in the Review and Content Policy.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW] and the courts of [COURT CITY AND STATE] have [COURT JURISDICTION TYPE] jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live. [ARBITRATION CLAUSE]
15. Contact
